  • Demo - The next demo will be on August 28th, so we can participate in the first annual international Software Freedom Day.

  • Installfests - Since school starts at the end September, there will be two installfests in October and none in September.

  • LERT - No report.

  • Library - No report.

Other Business

  • Davis Community Meals - No report.

  • LinuxWorld Expo Booth - August 3-5th at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. LUGOD will shared a booth with BALUG, PenLUG and RoseLUG. CodeWeavers donated a full license for CrossOver Office and Apress mentioned they're looking for writers.

  • Picnix13 - Linux's 13th Anniversary Picnic was held at Baylands park in Sunnyvale. Google donated 250 t-shirts, Capital Beverage Co. donated 560 500mL bottles of water, Oracle donated $1000, Atheros Communications donated $500, Sonic.net donated $300, Open Country donated $200, and the Vintage Computer Festival (VintageTech) and Richard Mancusi (SVLUG member) each donated $100. The event was put together by SVLUG, sbay.org, LUGOD, PenLUG and CABAL.

  • Financial Report - $15.46 in voluntary dues were collected.
