- Financial Report —
$16.00 in voluntary dues were collected tonight.
We've spoken briefly with a CPA regarding LUGOD's tax extempt status
with the state of California, and we may not need to register.
Greg will follow up with her.
Additionally, Henry House (our previous treasurer) is gathering all
LUGOD financial material he has on hand, to provide to Greg FitzGerald
(our current treasurer), so that we can generate a ledger that is
as complete as possible. (Bill Kendrick, Greg and Henry already started
that process.)
- "Sign Monkey" —
Some people still end up at Explorit's main location on 2nd Street,
and it was suggested that we ask if it's ok to put a sign up directing
LUGOD attendees to the correct location on 5th Street. Bill Kendrick
said it's a good idea, but we'd need to find someone who can do this
for us (a "sign monkey"). If you'd like to volunteer, post a message
to 'vox' or contact Bill: root@lugod.org.

creator of The Digital Tipping Point, who could not make it.
He demonstrated "Kdenlive", the KDE non-linear video editor,
with help and encouragement from the audience.
