• Hackers prefer to congregate at pubs (versus coffeehouses?)
• After one year people might be able to become their own mentor
• Breakdown:
  • GNOME: 40 kids
  • KDE: 40 kids
  • Ubuntu: 20 kids
• $4.5 million budget
• By country:
  • 300 USA kids
  • 100 Canadian kids
  • 300 European kids
  • The rest around the world
  • Only 1 living in Africa
• Leslie works for Chris DiBona at Google
• There's a giant T-Rex at Google
• Google is hosting the KDE 4 (www.kde.org) release party in January
