  • Financial Report
    • $22.00 in donations were collected.
    • Financial documentation is up-to-date on lugod.org/devnull/
    • At long last, we've received a response from the California Franchise Tax Board (CAFTB). We are officially a tax-exempt group in CA. However, the letter lists our starting date as 3/9/2010, whereas our non-profit status with the IRS was as of 3/9/2000. Greg thinks it's likely that they mistyped, and will contact them for clarification.
  • Officer Elections — Nominations for elected officers (root=president, sys=vice-president, typescript=secretary, and /dev/null=treasurer) are now open. If you'd like to nominate yourself, or someone else, for a position, please email the club secretary, Andrew Roach, at typescript@lugod.org.


  • Ariel Waldman, founder of SpaceHack.org and creator of SF Science Hack Day, discussed what it means to hack space exploration and science, why it's important, the motivations behind it, and what it means for the future of science.
