Good page.  You may or may not want to note on the "Linux/Open Source
Microsoft Withdraws Free Web Fonts" item that the fonts remain
permanently (at least potentially so) available at
http://corefonts.sourceforge.net/ .

Microsoft's license _did_ include the right of redistribution, you see,
provided that the fonts are distributed pristine in their original .exe
file packaging.  In that form, they can be easily installed to a *ix
system using the cabextract and msttcorefont utilities.

Honestly, there's nothing villanous about what Microsoft did, here.  For
a while, they offered the fonts they created free of charge from their
own site, and allowed others to do the same.  All they've done now is 
cease hosting them on their own site.  The fonts remain something of a
generous gift.
