I was just at a computer show in sacremento to buy a usb hub. While browsing 
around in one of the booths, I noticed a guy looking at a boxed copy of SuSE. 
I asked him if he had already tried Linux. He told me that he had bought a 
copy of Mandrake 8.1 at WalMart, and he was very pleased with it. It put a 
big smile on my face when he said "Getting online with it was easier then in 

I'd have to aggree with him, Mandrake's installer will ask you for your 
username, password and phone number during install with none of the weird 
options that windows always shows, then puts links to the dialup software on 
the KDE and Gnome desktops. It just doesn't get any easier.
