Judy Vance, Associate professor of Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State
Virtual Reality Research in Engineering Design and Analysis
December 10, 4:10pm, 1065 Engr II, UC Davis

Current projects involve investigation of virtual reality as an interface
for manufacturing process planning, conceptual design of spacial
mechanisms, shape design of structural components with stress
considerations, post-processing computational fluid dynamics analysis
results, and dynamic simulation of mechanisms.
Vance is an accomplished researcher who understands and appreciates the
link between theory and application. She has taken virtual reality into the
engineering design community to investigate applications where virtual
reality can provide new insights into product development."
