[vox-tech] XHTML in OOo?

Are there any tools to convert XHTML to something that OpenOffice.org can
load? (If you throw a regular XHTML file at it, the source code appears
in OOWriter.)

Example:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE html
     PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
    "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd";>
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"; xml:lang="en" lang="en">
<head>
<title>A title</title>
</head>

<body>

<h1>A title</h1>

</body>
</html>

This is a known 'missing feature' in OOo
(see: http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=69635 )
and, not being familiar with XHTML, I'm not finding anything too
useful through an "aptitude search xhtml")

PS - I tried both "File -> Open" and "File -> New, Insert -> File", with
similar results (the source, rather than the content that the source
describes).
