[vox-tech] Losing to the H1B

Hi all,

Posted to vox-tech because the demographic audience would be more interested
there than on vox.

Found this site which has a lot of H1B info:

They have a searchable database:

that lets you search all the H1B visas that have been filed. I did a search
for a city in my local area and found a company named "eBusiness Applications
Solutions, Inc". They have 623 H1B workers:

The top H1B job appears to be for a Market Research Analyst, which is paid
70,000 a year. The rest of the job, all 622 of them, appear to be programmer
positions that are paid around $22 / hour.

There's no reason to hire overseas programmers when we have out of work
programmers right here in the USA who would GLADLY work for $22 / hour. An
unemployed person would be overjoyed to get that job.

The top-10 companies using H1B workers:

Microsoft is a big H1B company. But they REALLY pay their H1B people well.
Take a look at the Microsoft H1B jobs:

I like this one:

   Application Platform Solution Sales Specialist

Carla Weitkamp is being paid $100,000. I would gladly do her job for half
that amount.

Want a great job? Renounce your USA citizenship. Move to another country,
apply for an H1B visa for Microsoft... ;)
