I think for sun's version, you need to download and install.

If you intalled all packages, or chose the GNU java compiler that comes with
the rest of the GNU compilers (gcc), then that one would be there (naturally). 
"rpm -q gcc-java" will tell you if the gnu java package is installed. As I
remember, redhat doesn't include the sun version of the JRE or JDK.
