The Linux Foundation (http://www.linuxfoundation.org) is a nonprofit
consortium dedicated to fostering the growth of Linux. Founded in 2007,
the Linux Foundation sponsors the work of Linux creator Linus Torvalds
and is supported by leading Linux and open source companies and
developers from around the world. The Linux Foundation promotes,
protects and  standardizes Linux by providing unified resources and
services needed for open source to successfully compete with closed

This technical, hands-on Web designer/developer will be responsible for
managing all of the Linux Foundation???s Web properties. The ideal
candidate brings a passion for Linux, a solid track record for building
and delivering attractive and useful Web sites (Drupal experience is
essential), and the flexibility to lead both as an individual
contributor and manager of external resources. 

The Linux Foundation gets millions of visitors to its Web properties
every year, wants to take its Web presence to the next level of
creativity and collaboration, and is evolving to become more of a media
site. We???re looking for a creative, responsible leader who can: help
build sites to reach the right audiences and communicate the right
message; both develop and manage external developers; and provide a well
architected, accessible and usable web presence to facilitate
collaboration for the members of the Linux and open source communities.

This is a high-profile opportunity that will make a big impact on the
world of Linux users and
developers. S/he will also gain exposure to influential supporters and
developers of the Linux platform, including Linux creator Linus

Required Skills:
5+ years experience and a proven portfolio of web sites you've designed
and help build
