Linux Server Programmer w IMS experience (TEMP)

Position Description: This is a minimum 6 month contract at Nokia  San Francisco thru a payrolling service)

Work as a software engineer developing an IMS / SIP server based integration solution for Nokia's SNAP Mobile gaming platform.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Work in collaboration with technical leads and project managers to design and develop an IMS / SIP integration solution for an existing C based server application architecture.
- Collaborate with tech writers to create installation and operations documentation
- Work with Operations teams to administer and diagnose
- Demonstrate initiative and contribute to problem solving
- Make decisions that affect own work  

Requirements:  

Required Skills and Experience:

- 5+ years relevant experience developing backend C client/server processes on Linux
- Experience with IMS / SIP
- Experience with PERL (mod_perl a plus)
- Knowledge of Apache
- Knowledge of Python a plus
- Solid understanding of TCP, UDP, HTTP, Socket Programming
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team player

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Gaming industry experience a plus
