[JOB] Python Developer, Palo Alto, CA | 90-115k

My client is a stealth web 2.0 company with offices in Palo Alto and San
Francisco. They are building an online film community and global media
network that will revolutionize the way we consume and share media
today.

My client is rapidly growing its engineering team as this market demands
cutting-edge web-based and software technologies. They are looking for
energetic, self-starters to join their venture. As one of their earlier
members in their R&D team, you will be able to make a huge difference;
from designing and building the product to making sure it is one of the
highest quality web properties on the internet. The product will be
shipped to a potential user community of millions. You will work
alongside some of the brightest people in the industry using some of the
most advanced technologies available today.

In particular, their backend web application is 90% Python. They also
leverage a lot of existing open source Python modules like Pyrex,
Twisted framework, Pylucene, etc. Using Python, you will be building a
production strength web application for millions.

If you are looking for a technical challenge and want to develop and
contribute to some of the best software around in a web 2.0 environment,
they have a position for you. They offer full-time employment with
benefits and ground floor equity participation. They are backed by a
veteran management team with successful track record that is committed
to fostering a distinctive culture in a great company.

Server software engineer requirements:
* BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
* Several years of software development experience.
* Multi-threaded backend server development experience in Python
(preferred), Java, or C++.
* Internet experience such as web services, LAMP architecture, etc.
* Database application development knowledge as in SQL, database schema
design, and database optimization.
* Network programming experience w/ TCP/IP a plus.

If you are local to the Palo Alto area, please submit your resume,
salary requirements, and a paragraph (or two) highlighting your
skills/experience as it pertains to this job to
