Release Engineer - Bay Area networking infrastructure company

In this new position, you will be responsible for the release engineering of the company's products by using best practices and methodologies to create, maintain, define, and enforce Software Configuration Management policies and strategies.  Please be ready to assist in technical and analytical duties in various software development processes and maintenance of software tools. You will be called upon to occasionally assist in Linux system administration activities.
This position requires strong background in SCM concepts and best practices, development process and release engineering principles.  You must have talent and expertise to define, implement and maintain build system and development environment, automated build, and sanity checks.  Work with software, hardware and system test engineering to define build and merging schedules. Solid experience in Linux, and GNU tools. Experience with SCM tools, Perforce a definite plus. Strong in build tools and scripting languages. Bachelor's degree and at least 5+ years of direct related experience.
