Position: - Linux Kernel Developer – Reference Code - 189
Type: - Contract
Duration: - 1-2 Years
Location: - San Jose, CA

Description: 

Looking for a hard core LINUX consultant who should have worked heavily
on 
- LINUX Kernel
- Device drivers 
- API development 
- And has contributed heavily to the open source movement.

Should be real strong on LINUX kernel.


Position: Kernel Developer - Reference Code - 209
Location: - Kansas City-KS		
Type: - Contract
Duration: - 3-6 Months

Job Responsibilities:
>Improve the performance of clusters by modify, rearrange, and tweak the
source codes in Linux environment 
>Remotely administrate clusters per request, e.g. updating the
configuration, adapting changes, enhance performance 
>Develop Linux with kernel programming to make the system easy to use,
such as the graphic interface, the compiler tools, the e-mail programs,
and the utilities for copying and naming files. 
>Modify Linux kernel and add an “installer” to be packaged with
clusters.  That is to package up all the common programs and interfaces
that mostly needed to customize, optimize, support, and extend the use
of Linux distribution to satisfy the needs of scientific users,
compilers, performance monitoring tools, and the likes.
>Constantly benchmark the performance testing of clusters and compare
the results with the users around the world.  Determine the particular
system design is effective as another 
>Develop and research parallel programming tools to attack a large
problem with a more complex structure per customer request 
>Required Knowledge:   Besides all the working knowledge in cluster
environment (Level1, Level 2 Cluster Engineer), one must be open-mind
and willing to train and share with others. 
>In-depth architectural and source code knowledge of the kernel such as
memory management, memory addressing, processes, interrupts and
exceptions, kernel synchronization, virtual file systems,…etc.

Position: Cluster Engineer:  Reference Code - 210
Location: - Kansas City-KS		
Type: - Contract
Duration: - 3-6 Months

Job Responsibilities:     
Assisting and supervise Level 1 Installer to complete the tasks
Provide internal and external developments to enhance the performance of
clusters
Developing system management per customer’s request
Ported, evaluated, and recommended executive direction for Linux
Products, database, cluster, and file system solutions
Evaluate and research in Linux distribution library and tools
Manage technical issues arising within the sales cycle including systems
to customer specifications

Required Knowledge:   Linux system administration and task scheduling
experience
Extensive experience with HPC cluster tools, e.g. MPI, MPICH, and PVM
parallel programming, PBS schedule handler, and PVFS managing parallel
files
Benchmark Linux system performance across IA32, IA64 and POWER
architectures

Fluent in C++, C, MPI, PVM, GMP, and Python, and intermediate level of
shell scripting

Extensive knowledge of major Linux distributions Red Hat, Sues, Defiant,
Genoa, Apache web server, and Mandrake on IA32, IA64, and Power
architectures
