Length: 6 - 12 months +
Job Description:
HOT, HOT, HOT!!
We are presently seeking two senior level Linux Engineers,
Admins/Programmers for a long term contract with a large California based
corporation. This is an exclusive contract and we are looking to fill the
positions immediately.

7-8 years of Linux Experience in a Heterogeneous environment with Solid
understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; NFS
/NIS/DNS; have knowledge of routing concepts.

Solid understanding of a Linux -based operating system; inter-process
communication, devices and what device drivers do, filesystem concepts etc.,
solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment
concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server programming, the
design of consistent network-wide filesystem layouts.

Ability to program in an administrative language (Tk, Perl, a shell), to
port C programs from one platform to another, and to write small C or C++
programs. Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes. Strong
interpersonal and communications skills; capable of writing proposals or
papers, making presentations to internal users/IT.
