[vox-announce] Jan. 6th Linux Users Group of Davis: MySQL Database Basics

The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD), will be holding a meeting on:

  January 6th, 2004
  6:30pm - 9:00pm

The meeting will be held at a our regular location:

  Davis Public Library
  315 East 14th Street
  Davis, CA 95616

The topic will be:

  MySQL Basics
  presented by: Michael Wenk

Michael will discuss development of database applications using the
Open Source MySQL database and the Perl and C programming languages.
MySQL is the world's most popular Open Source database, recognized for
    its speed and reliability.

Together with other Open Source components -- the Linux operating system,
Apache webserver, and Perl programming language -- one can use MySQL to
create powerful database-driven websites (with little to no cost),
    for example.
