How to Create and Build Debian Packages
presented by: Sean 'Shaleh' Perry
The Debian Project is an association of individuals who have made common
cause to create a free operating system: Debian GNU/Linux, or simply
Debian for short. Debian comes with nearly 4000 packages - precompiled
software that is bundled up in a nice format for easy installation - all
of it free.
Sean 'Shaleh' Perry is maintainer of a dozen Debian packages, including
the popular "Blackbox" graphical interface software. He is also co-author
and maintainer of "lintian," a utility which tests Debian packages for
validity and compliance with Debian policies.
