[vox-announce] a reminder

hey all,

sorry for the crosspost. i wanted to make sure this reaches everyone.

i've been getting a few bounced messages lately. mark is excused because
he's been changing email addresses every day. all the rest of you aren't.

reminder: you can't post to any of the vox lists except from the account
you're officially signed up. in other words, if you're signed on with
the email account "nbs@sonic.net" you can't post as "nbs@bolt.sonic.net".
since gabe used bill in his opengl demo, i'm using bill in my example).

if you're unsure of what email address you're signed on as, send an email
with a message body of "who" to:

if you don't see your email address on there, you're not subscribed to the
list. otherwise, you can see what email address you've signed up as.

a few other things:

* as with all listserves, keep the welcome message with the list rules and
signon/signoff/posting info. i keep a mail folder named "listserve" which
i put all welcome messages in.

* henry house has set up a very cool archive of all 3 mailing lists which
i've already used quite a few times. the URLS for the archives are:

* the webpage for the lists is www.lugod.org/mailinglists

* if you're not signed up for vox-announce, please do so! important info
about the lists (like this email) and the LUG (like meeting/demo/IF/lert/
special event announcements) go on this list. i've noticed that a few
people are signed up for vox[-tech] but not vox-announce.

that's it. have fun!
